The Brownstones at Maywood Park

The Brownstones at Maywood Park was early in the the rejuvenation and rebirth of housing in Oklahoma City’s urban core. This development of luxury multifamily housing using BuildBlock ICFs demonstrated unique design, energy-efficiency, and disaster resilience.

ICFs combined with an active geothermal  system, passive shading and ventilation options make these homes remarkably efficient in energy consumption. In addition to the energy and acoustic benefits of ICF, other important components of the “downtown green neighborhood strategy” also included walking proximity to city amenities, public transportation, lighted sidewalks, high density, low/no maintenance, locally available materials, HOA common area management, building orientation, and more.
